Government, business and industry leaders will gather in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland next month to explore opportunities for economic growth, innovation and stronger partnerships between Aotearoa New Zealand and India.
The New Zealand-India Business, Sport and Innovation Summit, taking place on 12 and 13 November, offers an opportunity to connect with influential leaders from both countries, exchange knowledge and explore new avenues for collaboration.
Speakers include India’s High Commissioner to New Zealand, Muanpuii Saiawi; Air New Zealand Chief Executive, Nikhil Ravishankar; entrepreneur, Sir Ian Taylor; Tourism New Zealand Chief Executive, Rene de Monchy and former India cricket captain, Ajinkya Rahane. The Summit will be chaired by Dame Therese Walsh.
Hosted at Auckland University of Technology and the New Zealand International Convention Centre, the programme will explore how New Zealand organisations can engage with India’s growing market, alongside discussions on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, the Māori economy, education, talent and sport.
Chief Executive of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, Nick Hill said the Summit provides a valuable opportunity to build connections across sectors.
“Bringing government, business and industry leaders together creates opportunities to share expertise, strengthen relationships and unlock new ideas. Auckland has an important role to play in connecting New Zealand capability with international markets, and this Summit is an opportunity to build partnerships that deliver lasting benefits,” says Mr Hill.
Delivered by Tātaki Auckland Unlimited and Sport New Zealand, the Summit forms part of 100 Years of Unity Through Sport, celebrating a century of sporting connection between the two countries.
