AUSTRALIA/PAPUA NEW GUINEA
Australian Federal Police (AFP) Commissioner Reece Kershaw and Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) Commissioner David Manning have renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two agencies.
In a statement, the AFP said the signing of the MoU solidifies the close working partnership between the AFP and RPNGC to combat crime that impacts Papua New Guinea, Australia and the Pacific region.
“The MoU outlines the approach to police cooperation, liaison and the exchange of information.”
“Partnership with our Pacific neighbours is vital for keeping our region safe,” AFP said.
