Fire has destroyed a building in Tauranga’s Historic Village overnight.
The blaze broke out at around 12.30am, with fire crews quickly in attendance.
Police have been on site overnight and will carry out an investigation into the cause of the fire today, Tauranga District Council said in a statement this morning.
The area around the building has been cordoned off from the rest of the village, which will be open for business as usual today, it said.
