Dunedin council seeks new Chief Executive

Dunedin City Council has begun the process to recruit its next Chief Executive.

Council is required to commence a process to appoint its next Chief Executive, as incumbent Sandy Graham’s second term concludes in October.

Mayor, Sophie Barker says Council is undertaking an open and competitive recruitment process, with advertising expected to begin on Monday, 23 March.

External recruitment agency, Sheffield South Island, will support the process to ensure a wide and high quality pool of candidates, the Mayor said.

“Dunedin is at a pivotal point in its development. We are focused on long-term sustainability, delivering high-quality services for our residents, and preparing our city for the future. The role of Chief Executive is central to this work,” she said.
