The Draft Regional Navigation Safety Bylaws 2024 adopted by Toi Moana Bay of Plenty Regional Council are now open for feedback.
The Navigation Safety Bylaws are reviewed every five years by the Regional Council to make sure they are fit-for-purpose and are working for the community.
The regional council says that for the most part, the existing rules work well but in light of legislative changes, new data and technologies, and valuable feedback from the public, the regional council are proposing some adjustments that reflect this changing landscape.

Submissions are open until 5pm Thursday, 29 February.
There are some key proposed changes for some areas and people can also make submissions on the Rotorua Lakes navigation safety bylaws.
