
Electors in Akaroa have until midday on Friday 12 June to cast their vote for one of the two candidates contesting a vacant position on Te Pataka ō Rakaihautū Banks Peninsula Community Board.

The two people contesting the Akaroa seat are Jason Crew and Keith Molloy. The seat is vacant due to the death of Deputy Chair Nigel Harrison in February.
Progress results will be announced in the afternoon on Friday 12 June, and official results will be announced when the final count is complete, and special votes have been verified. This is expected to be Monday 15 June.
To ensure that voting documents are received by the close of voting completed voting documents should now be returned to orange vote bins in the community.
Vote bins are located at:
- Four Square Akaroa
- Akaroa Customer Service Hub
- Akaroa Library
- Little River Library & Customer Service Hub
- Te Hononga Christchurch City Council Civic Offices
Special voting facilities are available Monday to Friday during ordinary opening hours at Akaroa Customer Service Hub, Little River Library and Customer Service Hub and Te Hononga Civic Offices, for any Akaroa electors who haven’t received or cannot use their voting documents.
