Works on the third phase of the Mangawhai shared path are set to kick off tomorrow, Kaipara District Council has announced.
From Wednesday, the Downer crew will start on the section between Old Waipu Road and Dune View Drive. As work progress, construction will move north along Molesworth Drive, the Council confirmed.
“While the crew are working temporary traffic and pedestrian management will be in place. For the section between Old Waipu Road and Dune View Drive two way traffic will be maintained. Please follow any directions of staff on site and take care,” Council said in a statement.
Council says the shared path network for Mangawhai will improve safety and connectivity between its two centres, and make it easier to travel by foot, bike, or scooter along busy Molesworth Drive.
Phase Three of the Mangawhai shared path includes a 1.5km section between the village and Mangawhai Central, and a 900m section between ITM and Wood Street.
