The UK Government has confirmed the appointment of Keith McMahon MBE as British High Commissioner to the Kingdom of Tonga.
Mr McMahon will take over from Philip Malone LVO, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment.
Mr McMahon will take up his appointment during June 2026.
He has previously served as Deputy High Commissioner to Ghana, First Secretary Political in Uzbekistan and Deputy Ambassador in Khartoum, Sudan.
