Congratulations to NZ Police dog, Jax, who has delivered her first litter of pups – the ‘W’ litter – during lockdown.
The first-time mum gave birth to two males and two females via emergency C-section and, as you can see from the photos, they’re all doing beautifully, NZ Police said in a statement.
“The pups have a long way to go until they’re operational, but the odds are in their favour,” NZ Police said.
“Their dad, Dan, was a patrol dog in Dunedin, as was Dan’s dad and the pups’ grandad, Ajax. Sadly, Dan died from a medical event in June 2018, but through the W litter his legacy lives on.”
