Primary teachers’ collective agreement to go to vote

A proposed settlement of the Primary Teachers’ Collective Agreement has been reached following facilitated bargaining and will now be put to members of NZEI Te Riu Roa for a vote, the Public Service Commission has confirmed.

The result of the ballot is expected in early April.

“The parties thank the Employment Relations Authority for its efforts in facilitating bargaining,” the Commission said in a statement.

“No further comment will be made by either party before the vote on the offer is completed.”
