Police are continuing to search for a 72-year-old Levin man who went missing while hiking in the Tararua ranges on Monday morning.
Officers received the missing person report on Monday afternoon and a search has been underway since, Police said in a statement today.
LandSAR along with a Police Dog have been in the area conducting area searches for the man this morning.
A helicopter is due to be launched around noon and enquiries remain ongoing to determine potential areas of interest and locate the man, Police said.
