Residents of Ngaaruawaahia, Hopuhopu, and Taupiri are being encouraged to continue to play a role in shaping the future of their communities.
The Draft Ngaaruawaahia, Hopuhopu, and Taupiri Structure Plan, along with the Ngaaruawaahia Town Centre Plan 2024-2054, are now available for feedback.
Waikato District Council says community feedback has played a crucial role in the development of the draft plans, with responses gathered during the project identification and prioritisation phase being included to ensure the needs and aspirations of residents are taken into account.
“From 15 May to 12 June 2024, the community can provide further feedback on the draft plans. Feedback can be submitted online, or by visiting the Council office at 15 Galileo St or the Council library at 4 Jesmond St, both located in Ngaaruawaahia,” Council said in a statement.
“Residents are encouraged to share their views on all parts of the draft plans like residential, commercial, and industrial areas, road and cycling infrastructure, green spaces, sustainability initiatives, as well as open space and parks.
“This process aims to ensure that the final plans accurately reflect the desires and needs of the community,” the Council said.
