The World Bank-funded Fiji Tourism Development Program in Vanua Levu, known locally as Na Vualiku, is progressing steadily, with major developments underway across Vanua Levu.
Fiji Airports today hosted a World Bank Pacific delegation, along with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Viliame Gavoka, for site visits to Savusavu and Labasa airports.
The delegation received a firsthand look at the ongoing runway strengthening works and held discussions with key stakeholders on the impact of the infrastructure upgrades at both airports.
The project aims to enhance the safety and resilience of aviation infrastructure in the Northern Division, strengthening connectivity while supporting sustainable tourism and economic development.
