Thirteen organisations and individuals facing charges in relation to the Whakaari/White Island eruption will not appear in court until March next year following news of an adjournment today.
The parties had been due to appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow (15 December).
“The parties involved have requested an adjournment, so that they can review the evidence provided by WorkSafe and receive legal advice,” WorkSafe advised in a statement today.
“WorkSafe has been advised by the courts a new hearing date has been set down for 5 March 2021 and there will no longer be a hearing tomorrow.”
